Most of what leaves our workshop has been altered from the drawing in some way — a width, a seat depth, a finish, a fabric. Bespoke is the same process taken further: we design the piece with you, then manufacture it ourselves rather than sourcing it.
Nine stages
You bring a reference — a piece from our collections, a photograph, an architect's drawing, or a sketch. We tell you plainly what is and is not buildable.
We work from the room, not the piece: wall lengths, ceiling height, door and lift access, circulation. Every dimension is set against the plan before anything is priced.
Solid beech as standard, with alternatives where the design calls for them. We explain where a material choice changes the price and where it changes the lifespan.
Linen, bouclé, wool and leather from our imported range, or a fabric you supply. Samples go out before you commit, and we advise on wear for the room's actual use.
Chosen against your floor, wall and light rather than in a showroom. We will ask for photographs of the room at different times of day.
Natural, sand, smoke or ink on beech, matt as standard. Finish samples are prepared on the actual timber batch your piece will be cut from.
The workshop reviews the drawing for structure, joinery and access before production is scheduled. If something will not hold, we say so at this stage, not later.
Six to ten weeks in Heliopolis depending on the piece. You are sent progress photographs at frame stage and again before upholstery closes.
Scheduled white-glove delivery and installation on one date. Payment is settled on delivery, not in advance.
